About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic National Warranty Manager to join our Service Unitary business unit. Reporting directly to the General Manager - Service, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of Daikin Australia's warranty program across equipment, parts, and installations.

In this key leadership position, you will drive operational excellence by managing end-to-end warranty processing, controlling warranty costs, analysing product quality trends, and championing continuous improvement to elevate customer and dealer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the national warranty team to achieve high performance, setting clear productivity metrics and conducting training on policies and manufacturer standards.
  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of equipment, parts, and installation claims, ensuring full compliance with manufacturer guidelines and prompt supplier reimbursements.
  • Partner with service technicians, project managers, and installation teams to verify eligibility, perform root-cause analyses on failed equipment, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage national warranty costs, track recovery opportunities, prepare monthly financial analyses, and identify failure trends impacting profitability.
  • Act as the escalation point for warranty inquiries across the dealership network, ensuring fair, professional, and efficient resolutions.
  • Develop and update warranty policies, conduct quality assurance audits, and collaborate with internal teams to reduce repeat failure rates.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong mix of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and proven leadership capability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Trade and/or tertiary qualification in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive leadership experience managing warranty, service, or technical operations within the HVAC industry.
  • Sound knowledge of HVAC systems, technical fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and Australian industry compliance standards.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP platforms (e.g., SAP), warranty management systems, and data analytics/reporting tools.
  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering customer excellence.
